Creating a New Online Barter Currency
Masterbucks was originally conceived by our sister company, Epik LLC, as a method of creating liquidity in the domain name development industry. Many domain owners, "domain rich but cash poor", lacked the cash with which to purchase domains or add value to their portfolios through development. By creating an alternative currency through which domain owners could barter some of their domains in order to purchase or develop others, a significant market inefficiency was removed, to the benefit of the entire domain name industry.
But rather than stopping there, it was recognized that Masterbucks could be used more broadly. Many product sites encourage visitors to write articles or reviews about their wares. What if those contributors could be paid, and then take those earnings and convert them into the goods or services the desired? Even better, what if a user could earn value on a wide array of sites, and spend those earnings on many thousand of online and physical stores? Thus was Masterbucks born.
With Masterbucks, users can turn their blog articles and product reviews into cash, products, or services. And because Masterbucks are completely transferrable and never expire, they can be used as a medium of exchange to barter one's products and services with other interested parties. And best of all, Masterbucks can be used anonymously if desired.
Since Masterbucks are accepted at thousands of online and physical stores and services providers, it has never been easier for people to generate value from their ideas and opinions, and convert them into the goods and services they crave.
Masterbucks was founded by several startup veterans with experience in finance, ecommerce, and data security.
